| Leonard Pecore President From arts major to naval lieutenant, Leonard Pecore followed a winding path before settling on an entrepreneurial career as president of Genoa Design International. The vision of a unique production design firm that offers services via the internet took shape during Leonard's last year at Memorial University's Marine Institute, where he earned a naval architecture technology diploma. After graduation, he landed a long distance contract with a shipyard in Vancouver and a few years later, the small but mighty Genoa Design got its first big break: a contract to do production design for New York City's Staten Island ferries. Today Leonard oversees the company's operations and leads Genoa's international marketing efforts. Darren Letto Vice President, Operations Darren Letto began his career with his eye on the sky as a recruit in Canada's air force pilot training program. But circumstances changed and Darren adjusted his sights to the sea, applying his precision-demanding pilot training to the world of naval architecture technology. After graduating from Memorial University's Marine Institute, he performed contract work in the United States and Atlantic Canada. Then destiny reunited him with his former classmate, Leonard Pecore, in a Halifax parking lot where he learned about a promising enterprise called Genoa Design. Darren signed on as a business partner and today he sets the company's design standards and oversees all production work. |
